Getting ready for the trial lesson
Learn tips on how to get ready for the first trial lesson with a new student!
Booking a lesson
With the instant booking function on our platform, students can book and schedule trial lessons with you according to your availability.
Note: If you do not reply to students within 24 hours after the booking, they can request a refund or change the tutor.
Please note that lessons don’t automatically end past the lesson time and there is no timer provided on the screen in Rihisi Classroom.
For subsequent lessons, it is possible to conduct lessons of different duration. For more info on how to schedule a lesson, please read this article.
What we recommend before the first lesson
To make sure the lesson goes well, here are some tips to get you started.
1. Before the first lesson, we suggest familiarizing yourself with Rihisi Classroom, our online teaching tool.
2. It might be a good idea as well to verify the date and time of the lesson. Please make sure that your timezone is set up correctly to avoid confusion.
3. Send a message to your student thanking them for making the booking. You may also want to discuss the student's expectations and learning goals - don`t be shy to message your student and ask these questions before the lesson.
4. Ask the student to take a placement test to determine their level of language proficiency. According to our research, students who take the placement test before the trial lesson are 20% more successful! At the moment there are placement tests available for English, German, French, and Spanish students.
5. If for some reason you are unable to attend the lesson, please notify your student in advance, and reschedule the lesson accordingly.
