Vocabulary flashcard tool

Helping your students widen their vocabulary base is a great way to motivate them, and the vocabulary flashcard tool is a great way to do this.

The tool works on a spaced-repetition methodology. This means that, when a word is new, it will appear frequently as the student goes through their vocabulary bank. As the word becomes more familiar, it appears less often, popping up right at the end to confirm that your student has learned that piece of vocabulary.

Students’ flashcards have the words with their pronunciations, definitions and an example sentence that shows the word in context. They practice the vocabulary by:

Matching word to definition
Matching definition to word
Listening and choosing the correct word

Vocabulary can be added in 3 ways:

Automatically from a topic in your student’s chosen course
Automatically if your student chooses a vocabulary collection
Manually in or out of the lesson using the plus button
