What is the response time?
The response time is the average amount of time calculated in hours that takes tutor to send a response during the past 90 days.
Why do we need a response time?
Answering messages promptly can significantly decrease your response time and maximize the chances when the student will choose you among other Rihisi tutors.
Why is response time important?
Our study shows that students are more likely to book to sign up for lessons when tutors respond more quickly. When a tutor responds within 10 minutes, there is a 9 out of 10 chance that a student signs up for a lesson. For a response within an hour, there is an 8 out of 10 chance to sign up.
After four hours of waiting for a response, only half of the students will take lessons.
How can I improve the response time?
Keeping your Rihisi notifications on will help you to keep up with all the messages from your new students.
Where can I find my response time?
Find your response time on the Statistics page on your tutor account or on your tutor profile that is visible to students.
What messages can affect my response time?
The response time only calculates your answers to the first message from a new student. Follow-up messages with existing students don’t affect your response time.
What happens if I am the first to contact the student?
If you’re the one who initiates the conversation (e.g. by answering to a request on Find students page) between you and the student, the response time won’t be affected.
What will happen with my response time when I’m not available?
If you’re going on vacation or have a limited possibility to answer your messages, make sure to add time-off to avoid negatively affecting your response time while you’re away.
