Subscription FAQ
Check this article to navigate to all of your subscription-related questions
How did I get a subscription in the first place?
All newly-registered accounts are created with the subscription model. You can check how it works in this article.
How do the charges work for subscription? What exactly am I paying for?
The payments will be automatically charged from your selected payment method upon registration for the first month, and then every 28 days thereafter. Once the payment goes through, you pay for the lessons to the tutor once they take place and are confirmed by you.
How can I pay for my subscription?
You can pay for your subscription via credit card (we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, and Discover) or PayPal. If you have your card details saved in your Rihisi account, you will be billed automatically.
Do I have to schedule the same amount of lessons each week with a subscription?
Once you have lessons on the balance with your tutor, you can schedule them anytime suitable for you, not necessarily within the same month! We highly recommend having lessons regularly for the most effective learning experience, but it’s totally up to you.
Can I change my subscription plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime.
If you upgrade your plan:
Upgrading your current plan will cancel it and start a new one
If you have any remaining lessons on your balance, they will get expired - so schedule them before upgrading
We will charge you the full amount of the new plan immediately
Your next billing date will be 28 days from the moment you upgrade
If you downgrade your plan:
Changes will take effect on your next billing date.
You can check the instructions on how to change your subscription here.

Can I have more than one tutor?
Of course! You can have a separate subscription for each tutor on your list.
How to buy additional lessons for my subscription?
If you feel that you need more lessons on a regular basis, upgrading subscription would be a perfect solution for you. If you do not wish to upgrade, you can add some extra lessons to your subscription before the renewal date - please follow these instructions to do it. Please note that these lessons may still expire if not used.
I tried to renew my subscription, but the payment didn't go through. What should I do?
If there was any issue with your subscription renewal payment, you can update your payment method and renew your subscription yourself.
I can’t buy lessons, and it tells me to activate my subscription. How can I do that?
You can follow these steps to renew your subscription!
How can I book a single lesson instead of buying the bundle / subscription?
Since your account is under subscription, the feature of buying lessons separately is not available for you at the moment. However, we are always looking for ways to improve the Rihisiy platform, so stay tuned for updates! We also have a couple of workarounds later in this article that you can use to make sure you’re nor charged for the lessons you don’t wish to take.
Can I change my renewal date?
Yes, you can postpone your renewal date by up to 20 days when you need more time to use your lessons. On the new renewal date, the system will refill your lesson balance and charge your saved payment method. If you need to refill your balance earlier than your new renewal date, you can renew your subscription immediately anytime. Your following renewals will happen every 28 days from the new selected date. You can change your renewal to a later date once per billing cycle.
Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime. After you cancel your subscription, you will not be charged for the next month on your next billing date. You can still take lessons with the remaining balance. If you have any remaining lessons that are not scheduled, they will expire on your billing date.
I received an email, "Schedule your next lesson. You still have X lessons to use before DATE". What does it mean?
Here is how it works: when 28 days pass and a new payment comes, if you have lessons on your balance - the amount of lessons for one week of your subscription will roll over to the next month and everything else will be deducted.
Example:
You purchase a subscription of 16 lessons (which is 4 lessons per week plan)
You use 10 lessons;
6 lessons are left;
4 lessons will roll over to next month (because you will have 4 lessons per week plan);
These 4 lessons will stay on your balance, plus the next 16 lessons that you will get upon the renewal of your subscription on the billing date;
If you, for example, buy 8 lessons (2 lessons per week plan), use 5 lessons, 3 lessons are left: 2 lessons will be rolled over to next month, and 1 lesson will be written off.
So, the amount of lessons rolled over is equal to the amount of lessons per week in your plan. But if you have some lessons left and will not be able to use them - you may change your renewal date, this way your lessons will not be written off.
What happens if I cannot schedule all the lessons I subscribed for before my next billing date?
The lessons can get written off from your balance on the billing date only if:
You have more lessons on the balance (left to schedule) than your subscription plan per week
You do not schedule those lessons on your calendar
The only thing you need to do is to book those lessons for any slot available on your tutor’s calendar - the date of the lesson can be before or after your billing date. As long as the lessons are scheduled, they will not expire! If the time of the lesson doesn’t suit you perfectly, you can later reschedule them for a better time.
I’m not planning to have lessons for a while. What should I do to not lose the lessons?
We highly recommend you to change your billing date or to cancel your subscription. If you would like to know more about how the payments on subscription work and how to avoid extra charges, we highly recommend reading this article.
I canceled my subscription. Will I still lose the lessons? Will I be charged?
If you cancel your subscription before the next billing date, you will not be charged. If you have any remaining lessons that are not scheduled, they will expire on your billing date.
