Having problems with screen sharing in the Rihisi virtual classroom? Find out how to solve them below.
If you're having trouble with screen sharing in the Rihisi virtual classroom, don't worry – there are a few steps you can take to fix the issue.
We highly recommend that you review the following article and test your classroom settings prior to your lesson.
Make sure you’re using a supported browser on a desktop computer. We recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, Safari (for macOS users), Firefox, and Microsoft Edge
Note that only one person can share their screen at a time. If your student or tutor is sharing their screen, ask them to stop before sharing your screen
Make sure you’ve allowed screen sharing access in your browser
In Google Chrome, you can choose Sharing Chrome Tab, Window or Entire Screen. However, please consider that Audio sharing is available only if you share Chrome Tab and check the box to allow audio sharing.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click General
in the sidebar, then click Sharing on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
If Remote Management is turned on, turn it off.
You can’t have both Screen Sharing and Remote Management on at the same time.Turn on Screen Sharing, then click the Info button on the right.
If you encounter situations where you cannot see the other person's screen when they are sharing it during your Rihisi lesson.
Ask your student or tutor to follow the steps outlined in the Rihisi Classroom guide to ensure that they are using a supported browser and have allowed access to their screen
If the issue persists, you can try using a different video communication tool like Skype or Zoom. Send a message to your student or tutor and suggest switching to a different platform to continue the lesson
