How to boost employee onboarding

Employee onboarding process

After you’ve added your employees to the program, they will need to complete the following onboarding steps:

  • Sign in to Rihisi

Right after getting added, your employees will receive their welcome emails with personalized links to sign in to their student accounts on Rihisi.

  • Schedule their first lesson

Now it’s time for your employees to find their first tutor – they can do it by themselves or by using your recommendations. Then, they should schedule their first trial lessons!

  • Complete their first lesson

When employees take their first lessons, the onboarding process is over for them. Now they know how to find a tutor, schedule and take lessons. Off to a good start!

To find out who hasn’t completed a certain onboarding step, you can:

  • Press the “See remaining employees” button under the onboarding step

  • Or open the “Employee” list and filter it by different onboarding steps

  • Tips to boost your employee onboarding

Below you’ll find tips for helping your employees at each step of the onboarding process.

    • Incomplete step: sign in to Rihisi

Guide employees who haven’t completed this step to locate a welcome email from Rihisi. In this email, they will find a personalized link that allows them to sign in to their student account. Employees should click on this link and sign in to Rihisi using their work Google/Microsoft account or creating a new password.

If the sign-in link got outdated, your employees will be able to request a new welcome email with a new sign-in link. Alternatively, you can ask your account manager to help you get in touch with these employees and guide them.

    • Incomplete step: schedule the first lesson

Employees who haven’t completed this step might not know how to find a suitable tutor. In such cases, assist them in getting matched with the expert they need. You can use the materials and tips for selecting a tutor provided by your account manager, or you can directly share recommended tutor profiles with your employees.

    • Incomplete step: complete the first lesson

If employees have already scheduled their first lessons but have not yet completed them, send them reminders so they don’t forget to attend their lessons. Additionally, remember to ask for feedback once the lessons are completed.

If while discussing the onboarding with your employees, you’ve learned that some of them are not going to participate in the language learning program, you can

    • Transfer their balance to active employees

    • Assign their spot to another employee within your company

Remember that onboarding is just the beginning! Once all your employees are onboarded, go on to guide them to set up a regular lesson schedule and add lessons to their calendars.
